Fly-In Breakfast – Sept. 10

Join PAARC members at the Fly-in Breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 from 8 am to 12 noon at Heritage Field.  Admission and parking is free. If you come hungry breakfast is $8 for adults and $5 for kids (pancakes, eggs, ham, juice and coffee).  See modern and antique airplanes, warbirds, show cars and R/C models and drones.  Airplane and helicopter rides!  A great morning out for the family!  The entrance to Flyer’s Roost is located on Airport Road off Ridge Pike in Limerick, PA. For more information on the event, visit www.paop.org, or click here for the flyerPAARC members RC, KC3HRV and his dad Paul, KC3HSQ will represent PAARC with a station. PAARC Picnic – July 7, 6:30 pm

Hot Dogs & Hams Summer Social

On Friday, July 7th, 2017 at 6:30 pm, instead of the usual monthly meeting presentation, come hungry to the annual club picnic! We’ll dine in the air-conditioned comfort of our large meetinghot dog antenna room at St. James Lutheran Church in Limerick, PA. Outdoor seating available, weather permitting.  Enjoy a buffet style feast with hot dogs and other entrees,  Ed/K3BVQ’s beans, baked potato bar, salads, watermelon, desserts, prize drawings, and as always, outstanding company!

$10 per person – Dinner with beverages and desserts

Amateur Radio Field Day Demonstrates Science, Skill, and Service
Since 1933, ham radio operators across North America have established temporary ham radio stations in public locations during Field Day to showcase the science and skill of Amateur Radio. This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. More than 35,000 radio amateurs will gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations.

Fox Hunt – May 27

The next foxhunt will be on Sat., May 27, (Memorial Day weekend) starting at 10 am. We begin at the Pottsgrove Middle School on 1351 N. Hanover St., Pottstown 19464 N 40 deg., 16.27 min, W 75 deg. 38.15 min. Learn more on the fox hunting webpage.  If anyone needs to borrow equipment contact Jim, k3chj at arrl.net. He has a log periodic antenna, passive & active attenuators, a boat anchor 2m radio with an analog s meter plus a PennDOT map. We’ll also have a 440 mhz “pedestrian” fox to find at the finish.

RF Hill ARC Auction – April 27
