PAARC Fox Hunt – 7/28

Dori K3TES and I will be hosting the next PAARC foxhunt on July 28th at 10:00 am starting from the Pottsgrove Middle School, 1351 N. Hanover St. Hope to see the usual gang plus some new hunters! – Al, AG3T

RRC Fox Hunt – 7/15 (cancelled)

Event cancelled due to bad weather.

Meet at 1:00 pm at the Reading Pagoda (98 Duryea Dr, Reading, PA) parking lot. Hunters will point their antennas toward the direction which gives the strongest signal and then drive toward that location. Upon finding the hidden transmitter, the hunters will discover multiple low power signals from other foxes waiting to be discovered. Ron K3RJW will provide the frequency of the fox(es).

PAARC Fox Hunt – 6/16

Our next PAARC fox hunt (transmitter hunt) will be Saturday, 6/16/18 at 10 AM.  We’ll begin at the Pottsgrove Middle School on 1351 N. Hanover

Reading Radio Club Fox Hunt – 5/6


Reading Radio Club will hold a hidden transmitter “Fox” hunt on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm. They’ll meet at the Reading Pagoda on Skyline Drive a little before the start time.  The hunt initially requires a drive of less than 12 miles, then multiple low power transmitters are hidden within walking distance after you found the higher power Fox(es).  All are welcome.  No Amateur Radio license required to for the transmitter hunt.  Most Foxes are on the 2 Meter band.
