The next PAARC foxhunt will be on Sat., Aug. 27, at 9:30 am. Jim/K3CHJ will be the fox. Fox Hunt calling frequency: 147.510 FM.
The start will be at the Pottsgrove Middle School on 1351 N. Hanover St., Pottstown 19464. N 40 deg., 16.27 min, W 75 deg., 38.15 min. If anyone needs to borrow equipment contact Jim K3CHJ. He has a log periodic antenna, passive and active attenuators, a boat anchor 2M radio with an analog S meter plus a PennDot map.

PAARC will be an exhibitor at the Montgomery County 4H Fair once again. Ed McCoy/N3WXW is setting up the K3ZMC demo station to introduce amateur radio to the large number of people, young and old, at the fair. Join us to operate, or come out to see the fair and stop by to say hello. If you’d like to be a radio operator for either day please email Ed McCoy/N3WXW. Ed will be onsite about 8 am on both Fri. and Sat. The club will demo 20M and 40M phone. Jerry/WA2TTI will have a second demo station. The 4-H Center is located at 1015 Bridge Road, Creamery PA 19426.
PAARC will operate on these days and times:
– Friday August 12, 9:30 am – 9:00 pm
– Saturday, August 13, 9:30 am – 4:00pm

This Years Event Dates / July 1 (9AM EST) to July 6th (Midnight EST)

PAARC members had so much fun participating in the 13 Colonies Special Event in past years, that a few wanted to get more involved. This year some members will operate special event station WM3PEN for part of the time during this 6 day event. If you plan to participate and work colony stations, you’re encouraged to spot it for others at DX Summit. In 2015, over 126,000 total contacts were made in this event.
